Most people have different ideas of what a hiatus entails, but this is the guideline that will be used for this game.

An official hiatus may be taken if you are going to be away from regular access to the game for five days or more. These are the sort of hiatus that is to be expected to be posted for here, and will be accounted for in activity checks.

An unofficial hiatus is a personal hiatus that can last for two to four days. This sort of hiatus also covers someone who may only have sporadic access to play or will be tagging slowly - the so-called "slowatus". This sort of hiatus will not be considered for activity checks and should not be posted here, although you may wish to notify people on the OOC community if you have a post or log going.

The maximum time limit for an official hiatus is one month, unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you run into issues and need a longer hiatus, let me know.

You may also decide if things are happening to your characters, or give someone permission to godmode them for you. These details should be listed in the hiatus comment so that there's an official statement of permission in case something happens.
