Due to the nature of the game, a bit of an expanded writeup for how communities should be used is here!

Game Community - [community profile] epic_questing
The primary form of interaction in Legend will take place here (as opposed to individual character journals). Posts here for the most part are instances of a given character logged on to the game itself, and the comments are people interacting with said character in-game. These entries aren't "journals" or whatnot, and should be treated more like first-person meeting grounds, as if you've run into some buddies while going to the store. People can interact in whatever way they please, as long as it's not against the rules of the area they're in.

The first exception to this rule is Email or Forum posts. In these, entries are treated as text. They must still be in appropriate style for the character, but are not treated as encounters and may only be replied to depending on the nature of the entry - emails are between two people unless specified, while Forum posts are open for anyone to reply to. These are treated as extensions of Legend, however, and still count to be posted in this community.

Finally, if characters are doing things offline, it stands to reason that it will only involve those from that particular world. These should be treated similarly to in-game posts.

Tags
Tags are used to differentiate Email, Forum, and Game posts, as well as those who are involved in such. It's a good idea to check the tags of a post before you reply to make sure that it's not for specific people. State-related tags will be prefixed with an exclamation mark, world-related tags will be prefixed with an asterisk, and character tags will be done in the format of character name (fandom) or for their online name, simply the name.

In-game posts should be tagged with !online as well as the character's online name, and any other relevant information (if it's a quest, or information gathering, or just getting together to whack things with swords).

Offline matters need to be tagged with !offline, the world it's occurring on, and any characters involved.

Emails need to be tagged with !email and the characters who are emailing each other.

Forum posts should be tagged with !forum but don't need any other tags.

Logs Community - [community profile] party_logs
This community is for logs. These are scenes which are to take place between apped characters that aren't simply conversations or the like and usually soemthing that the characters involved would like to do in more detail. Meetings, quests, events, anything can be done as a log, but there is usually a goal or idea in mind behind the log's existence and thus ideally a beginning and end point. Logs can be for both in-game things as well as scenes taking place on their home worlds.

Logs can be done in prose (for the ambitious) or action comments.

OOC Community - [community profile] irl_times
For OOC things! Introductions, notes for hiatuses (though you still need to drop a line at the hiatus post for the mods or it doesn't count), memes, silly stuff, miscellaneous stuff. Pretty much if it doesn't go in the other comms, it goes here.
